    The Founders

    Jane Dimitrova and Velin Kerkov are the co-founders of Foodobox. After several years abroad – in Italy and Scotland – they returned to their beloved Bulgaria to contribute with their experience and knowledge.

    Here they saw a huge potential and decided to launch the 1st mobile app in Bulgaria against food waste. Today Foodobox is present in the biggest Bulgarian cities and also in Bucharest.

    The Team

    All of the guests really enjoyed the cake that was made out of many different pieces of surplus cake.

    We are a small but united team that supports each other and enjoys what we do because we strongly believe in our mission.

    Thanks to Radostina Tzenova I found the great people from Foodobox. For an experiment I took two medium boxes – one with fruits and vegetables and the other with prepared meals. Basically the contents of the boxes was a surprise and I admit, a very pleasant one. In general, the whole exercise is fun, tasty and also contributes to reducing food waste. I reccomend!”

    Annual Awards for Responsible Business '22

    Foodobox was awarded 3rd place at the Bulgarian Forum of Business Leaders (BFBL) competition in the most contested category - "Environmental Investor".

    BAIT Awards - Startup of '22

    Foodobox won the award for Startup in the competition of the Bulgarian Association for Information Technologies, under the patronage of the Bulgarian president Rumen Radev.

    The founders of Foodobox - Jane Dimitrova and Velin Kerkov were included in the prestigeous selection of Forbes as part of the Socuial entrepreneurship category.

    We made it to the finals of the prestigious Forbes Business Awards contest in the Start-ups category.

    Foodobox was awarded the Social Innovation prize in the annual contest organized by Forbes Bulgaria at Sofia tech park.

    We closed 2021 successfully by getting the Young entreprepreneur award in the #StartUpOfTheYear contest by the Recursive.
